SOLIDWORKS Part Reviewer: Simple Surface Part 3 Tutorial

Surface3-RegularSimple Surface Part 3: This cover plate is an example of a part created without using any solid body features. The Upper Profile is a spline for continuous curvature. A projected curve feature is used to create two sketches in order to build the desired 3D geometry. The Surface Knit feature merges the four surface bodies into one by “stitching” them together. Cosmetic fillets are used to ensure no sharp edges. The thicken command creates a solid body from surface bodies. To learn more, check out Simple Surface Part 1 and Simple Surface Part 2!
