SolidWorks Tutorials Lesson 2 Assemblies

The SolidWorks application contains 30 + tutorials to assist you in developing an understanding of the SolidWorks user interface and functionality.  The SolidWorks STEM Course videos correspond to the introductory SolidWorks Tutorials.  Lesson 2 describes the SolidWorks using the Offset and Convert Entities Sketch Tools and creating a simple assembly. Select Help from the Main menu.  Select SolidWorks Tutorials, Lesson 2.  Follow each step, repeat the tutorials until you can recreate the model on your own.  The two videos make up Lesson 2.  Additional curriculum materials are available to SolidWorks instructors that utilize these lessons in their classroom.  Movies can also be utilized in an independent classroom environment.

I like the way this video shows how to apply mates so that the parts are fixed in permanent relationship. I sometimes forget to mate all three axes and go to move the piece and it seems to fall all to pieces on me.
