They Call it SLUGME

slugme

When Todd Blacksher first approached me with his idea for the “SOLIDWORKS Largest User Group Meeting Ever”, my immediate response was “No”.  I didn’t think the work required to pull something like this off was worth the effort.

I was wrong!

This Wednesday, December 7th, more than 30 SOLIDWORKS User Groups will participate in a very unique event.  All around the country (and a couple of places outside of the US), SOLIDWORKS user group members will gather together at local meetings for food, networking, and other group business.

Then, at 8:00pm EST, each group will join a webinar featuring a welcome message from SOLIDWORKS CEO Gian Paolo Bassi, followed by Tom Cote (Central MA SOLIDWORKS User Group) with a one-hour presentation covering large Assembly Performance in SOLIDWORKS.

Based on the number of groups that will tune in, an estimated 1000 SOLIDWORKS users will be involved in what will truly be the SLUGME.

NOTE: This is a LIVE event, and will NOT be broadcast publicly.  You MUST attend your local SOLIDWORKS User Group meeting to participate.

Check the list below to find out if your local chapter will be participating, and click the link for more information including the meeting address and start time.

My official title is Senior User Advocacy & SolidWorks User Groups - but most people just call me "The User Group Guy". I've been a SolidWorks user since 1997, and was one of the founding members of the SWUGN Committee. Since starting the Central Texas SolidWorks User Group in 1999, my career path has led me to DS SolidWorks and a dream job supporting the SolidWorks User Group Network worldwide.

We’re so excited to be hosting! And you’re right, Richard. It’s been a lot of work, but absolutely worth it!
