NEWS FLASH – Richard Doyle is Learning SolidWorks Surfacing

Austin, Texas, USA
April 17th, 2012 – For immediate release

The SolidWorks Community was shaken today by the news that Richard Doyle, Interactive Communications, User Groups and Online Communities, SolidWorks – has announced his intention to learn the ins and outs of SolidWorks 3D CAD surfacing tools.  The announcement came as a surprise to many who've seen his presentations filled with lots of socket head cap screws and big ol' chunks of steel.

"I've been frightened by surfacing for far too long", said Richard.  "It's time I started learning how the tools work and for what purpose".  I'm going to start slowly with tutorials, and then lean heavily on members of the SolidWorks Community for additional help and advice".  "Ed, Charles, Matthew – I'll be on touch".

The exercise will be chronicled here, and will culminate with Richard's first ever surfacing presentation at SolidWorks World 2013 in Orlando, Florida.

"My hope is not only to learn the surfacing tools, but to understand how and why they work the way they do.  If I can pass along what I learn effectively to SolidWorks World attendees next year, I'll have reached my goal".  And I hope it will be a lot of fun."

If you have any advice for Richard, please leave your comments here.
