You're probably thinking that's a silly statement, of course SolidWorks users bring stuff to the SWUGN Technical Summit events. Notepads, pens, cell phones, and even laptops. But unless you are one of the presenters, would you think about bringing your 3D Connexion Space Pilot?
I'm sitting in on Nicole Walden's Design Intent session, and she's grumbling that she forgot hers. It took all of ten seconds for attendee Ainsley Hylton of Turbine Air Systems to shout out "I've got one you can use" and promptly delivered his to Nicole in the front of the room.
Now Nicole is happy, and I'm amazed. I guess it's true when people say they couldn't live without their 3D input device. Some folks even carry theirs around with them "just in case".

Yes, yes I cannot believe I forgot mine. Yes once you get used to one you cannot live without it!

Nicole just needs to do something with her left hand - oh wait a second, I'd be lost without mine as well.
I'll make it to Houston one of these days Nicole and watch you work.

I agree, and now there's a $99 model, there's no need to live without it. Let work buy you the $300 or $400 model and get the $99 for home / travel..!
No, I'm not a Logitech / 3DConnexion employee, just an addict! I recently changed jobs as have been reaching out into space with my left hand since I got SW installed at my new place. Luckily the new Space Mouse is on the way.
I first used one at a SW training class. I hope my VAR got good kickbacks because I'm sure everyone who took that class got hooked.

I used 3D Connexion Space Pilot long back and wow it was so cool. I can understand why someone cannot live without it!
I will be soon testing one of their Pro version and see if I can have one for my work.
