In 1871, James P. Moore became the 6th mayor of Greenville, South Carolina, and the first to sport a clean-shaven face. It wasn't until 1903 that another mayor-sans-facial-hair was elected. But after 1915, not a single whisker has graced the face of any city leader.
More history will be made in Greenville tonight when the Greenville SolidWorks User Group hosts more than 120 attendees for the "resurrection" meeting. Mickey Dorsey, Marc Monaghan, and the rest of the crew have put a ton of effort into bringing the user group back to life. Hosted by Clemson University at the CU-ICAR campus, the meeting will feature CU-ICAR director Imtiaz Haque as the keynote speaker, and the wildly popular Phillip Thomas from SolidWorks as the featured presenter.
This could very well turn into the biggest SolidWorks User Group meeting ever.

Now that is what you call a come back. I hope Mickey can keep the enthusiasm going into all future meetings.
Congratulations Mickey.

I was there, and it was a great meeting. Mickey and his committee pulled off a fanstatic event.
