It's Always Good in San Antonio

Last night's SASUG (pronounced "sausage" by the members) meeting was great as usual.  Some familiar names were on hand to present - Webb Shoenfeld and Bruce Buck did terrific presentations (get those abstracts in guys), the BBQ was good (no pizza for this group), and group leader Jim Lowery's sense of humor is always appreciated.

The meeting kicked off with a short presentation by Mike Henry, a former teacher and now Business/Community Liaison for TIER - the Texas Institute for Educational Robotics.  Mr. Henry was there to stress the need for mentors, perhaps the biggest challenge faced by these types of programs.  I sure hope some of the SASUG members will take him up on the offer.

It's always a pleasure to make the short drive down to attend the SASUG meetings.  The group is friendly, personable, and very active during the meetings.  There are always a few laughs thrown in for good measure too.
