In advance of the event, let’s take a sneak peek at some of the cool new SOLIDWORKS-inspired products you’ll be able to see in the Startup Product Showcase at SOLIDWORKS World 2018.

Sphero
This Boulder, CO-based startup fuses robotic and digital technology into immersive entertainment experiences that ignite imagination and defy expectation. Judd Nutting, a senior mechanical engineer at Sphero, will be on hand to answer any questions about the company’s products. Some of the products you’ll see at the Sphero booth include:

R2-D2. This Astromech Droid from a galaxy far, far away can be controlled with your smart device.
Ultimate Lightning McQueen. Drive and drift, play games, and train for the next big race with this app-enabled, top-end racing machine.
SPRK Lighting Lab app is your hub to create, contribute and learn with Sphero Robots. Its visual block-based building interface makes learning the basic principles of programming approachable and fun.

Perseus Mirrors
This startup, made up of a team of Wharton and Harvard graduates, has designed the world’s first consumer-focused smart mirror that offers voice recognition, a digital heads up display, and smart scanning technology. Imagine this: a weather alert pops up while you are brushing your teeth and reminds you to bring your umbrella. No, this is not a scene from a sci-fi movie; this product is available now. The company’s founders, Antina Lee and Erik Skantze, will be on hand to give you each a personalized demo on this cool new smart product.

URB-E
This company’s foldable electric scooter is exactly what was needed to meet the requirements of today’s age. It was designed to be lightweight and portable so users can easily take them along—whether they are going shopping or to school or the office. In fact, this scooter can double as a shopping cart by adding the company’s URB-E Cargo Basket. Best news is on a full charge, these scooters can cover 16 miles to 20 miles. Meet all three founders of this exciting startup at SWW18.

Meta
Meta co-founder and CEO Meron Gribetz conceived of a world without screens while studying at Columbia University. Today his company, Meta, offers the Meta 2 AR headset, which features 90 degree field of view (FOV), the widest in the industry, offering a truly immersive experience with photorealistic holograms. Explore 3D models by touching, grabbing, or pushing and pulling 3D holograms. The Meta’s user interface allows users to arrange 3D content for their particular workflow. Meta 2 headset’s powerful optics engine overlays high-resolution, photorealistic content over the physical world, making it easier to understand how virtual products would look in their real-world environment.
