The Certified SOLIDWORKS Community Continues To Grow

It was announced on Tuesday at SOLIDWORKS World 2017 that the community of certified SOLIDWORKS users continues its rapid growth. The program ended 2016 with 222,000 certified users all around the world. Certified SOLIDWORKS Associate (CSWA) led the way by adding over 33,000 new certified users helping to add a total of over 48,000 user certificates in 2017. That means that every 11 minutes in 2016, a SOLIDWORKS user earned a certification.

Both companies and their employees have discovered that being certified, and having certified employees can benefit both sides. A certified employee becomes a more efficient user, and utilizes tools in SOLIDWORKS that allow them to create designs faster, while also building a more robust model. Companies of course benefit from this by being able to get their products to market faster. Certification can also help teams of engineers build camaraderie by challenging each other to be the best they can at using SOLIDWORKS.

The importance of SOLIDWORKS Certifications, especially how valuable they are to our users, is something we are very serious about, and something we are constantly looking to promote. We want to make sure that the industry is aware of the value of these certifications so that the time and money our users invest in them, is beneficial to them as well.

To help promote these values, the following video shown during the General Sessions at SOLIDWORKS World features a Certified SOLIDWORKS Expert (CSWE) who talks about how valuable becoming Certified SOLIDWORKS Expert (CSWE) has been for him.

On Sunday at the conference, over 250 people started, or continued on their certification paths by taking a SOLDIWORKS Certification exam onsite at the conference. Every year the Certification Team continues to provide these testing sessions as part of the overall conference fee to users who attend and want to take an exam while attending.
