Come meet the SOLIDWORKS Product Definition team at SOLIDWORKS WORLD 2014

SolidWorks World is a great place to meet with your SOLIDWORKS crew.  Many areas of SOLIDWORKS are represented, such as Marketing, Sales and R&D.  Yes, there is a sizable number of R&D staff running around the conference each year.  R&D includes Developers and Product Definition.  Product Definition team members are a major component in determining/defining enhancements and new functionality included within SOLIDWORKS products each year.

To help us in this challenging endeavour, Product Definition interacts with customers throughout the year to discuss how our applications are-and-are-not satisfying customer needs. 90% of improvements to SOLIDWORKS products are a result of customer interaction in one form or another. One of the most effective ways to understand customer needs is to meet directly with our users.  Where is a great place to meet with your Product Definition team?  Yup, at SolidWorks World!

Product Definition has many team members, each tasked with creating and improving specific areas of SOLIDWORKS products.  In recent years, the Product Definition team has set up a table where attendees can come to talk with us about how they are using SOLIDWORKS applications.   Do you have requests for improved Parts functionality?  Ask for Jody Stiles.  Assemblies?  Ask for Don Van Zile.  Drawings? Ask for me, Matthew Lorono.  There are many more areas such as Animation, Costing, Rendering, Administration, PDM, etc.

Which workflows can we improve to help save you time (and money)?  What tools need more functionality?  What technical challenges or functional gaps are you experiencing that no software currently addresses.   Come by and tell us!

At SolidWorks World 2014, the “PD table” will be in the Ballroom 20 Lobby near Ballroom 20D on the Upper Level.  The Product Definition team will have at least two people at this table from 10:30AM to 4PM on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday during the conference.  We look forward to speaking with you!
