Announcing the winners of the Ocean Cleanup Contest

Back in October, we launched a contest in cooperation with The Ocean Cleanup team based in The Netherlands. Engineers and designers around the world were challenged to design the floating booms integral to the design of the floating collection platforms that the Ocean Cleanup team has designed, with the winner getting a chance to work with the team in The Netherlands.The contest ended last month, and after some deliberation, the judges made their decisions and the winners have been notified. We would like to thank all of the people who participated, and announce the grand prize winner and runners up.
