If there’s one thing that I think everyone would agree with, it’s that we all like to try products before we buy them. At SolidWorks, we understand how important cost can be when determining which CAD software best fits your needs before purchasing a commercial license. So wouldn’t it be great if you were able to evaluate a new CAD tool before purchasing? Well, you’re in luck—SolidWorks provides the opportunity to evaluate SolidWorks software by offering free product trials!

Requesting a trial is easy. Just fill out the SolidWorks Trial Request Form, and our Sales department will make sure your information is forwarded to an authorized SolidWorks Value Added Reseller (VAR) in your area. This is because SolidWorks doesn’t sell products directly, and all training and support is provided by our resellers. Some of you may be rolling your eyes at the thought of having a reseller contact due to bad experience with resellers for other vendors.

The SolidWorks experience is different—not only are all of our resellers SolidWorks certified, but they also provide the highest level of service and support so you can feel confident and positive about your experience. When a reseller contacts you, they will talk to you about your business, your needs, and your plans for the future. When you’re ready, they will put together a proposal for you and schedule a demo in your office. And when that’s done, they’ll leave you with a trial version of SolidWorks 3D CAD that you can use with your own designs and files. Along with offering product trials for SolidWorks 3D CAD, you may also be eligible to receive trials for other products including SolidWorks Simulation, Enterprise Product Data Management, SolidWorks Composer and SolidWorks Sustainability.

Unfortunately, product trials are only available for commercial customers, so if you’re a student you won’t be able to take advantage of this offer. But that doesn’t mean we’re not thinking about you. If you’re currently attending a secondary school or university, you’re eligible to buy a one-year license of the SolidWorks Student Edition at a fraction of the price of the commercial version. It includes everything you would get in SolidWorks Premium, and is a great way to learn SolidWorks. More information can be found on our website. And once you graduate and start that first job, we invite you to come back and request a full trial.

If you’re ready to get started, just visit our website or complete the form below. We can’t wait to hear from you!
