The SolidWorks Certification team this week announced the 15th anniversary of the Certification Program.  It was back in 1997 that the original Certified SolidWorks Professional exam was first released.  Since then the program has grown to an online system that's available to anyone worldwide.  The system now manages a database of over 89,000 total certifications!

A new Drawings Tools exam was also announced that will available at the end of January.  Also announced was that the Certified Enterprise PDM exam (CEPA) will be frre of charge until the June 30th 2013.

A new social connection community was also announced for Certified SolidWorks Experts on Facebook, as well as a new way for SolidWorks users with a Certification to list their LinkedIn profile in their online Certification Directory listing.

More information about these exams as well as information about all the SolidWorks Certification can be found on the SolidWorks Certification Website.

I would love to see more exams such as ones for flow simulation, motion, routing, perhaps even scan to 3d. Why not? :)

What would have been nice would have been to have the CSWE available at SolidWorks World. I was very dissappointed that the CSWE exam was not offered. Oh well!
