SolidWorks World 2013 Partner Profile: Striker Systems

One of the things we’ve heard from SolidWorks World attendees over the past few years is that you’d like to learn more in advance about the SolidWorks partners who set up booths in the Partner Pavilion. So now through SolidWorks World 2013, we’ll be posting a series of blog entries about some of the partners you might think about checking out, and the people who will be representing them. Today we hear from Striker Systems.

Give us some background on Striker Systems

Striker Systems is a leading developer of sheet metal CAD/CAM and nesting software.  For over 27 years we’ve been bringing state of the art software solutions to the sheet metal fabrication industry.

What products do you sell for SolidWorks customers?

Striker Systems offers a complete product line for programming of CNC punching, cutting (laser, plasma etc), shearing, and hybrid machine tools, as well as comprehensive nesting software offering multi-part (true shape) and rectangular nesting.  Striker Systems CAD/CAM software is integrated into SolidWorks via our PARTshare module, which allows SolidWorks users to make sheet metal part and assembly data available real time for nesting and manufacturing operations.

Through Striker’s PARTshare system, single parts or complete assemblies can be extracted from SolidWorks with a couple of mouse clicks.  Critical
manufacturing data is maintained with each part including part number, revision, material information, etc.  These parts are then automatically sorted and nested for the desired CNC machine.  This can potentially save SolidWorks user’s hours each day in passing engineering data to manufacturing.

Why should SolidWorks World attendees visit your booth?

Our booth is going to be of interest to SolidWorks World attendees who perform some level of sheet metal fabrication.  Those doing their own manufacturing will have interest in our complete Striker CAD/CAM and nesting solution with SolidWorks integration.  Those that design sheet metal parts and assemblies that don’t do their own manufacturing will also be interested in PARTshare to extract SolidWorks data to supply other CAD/CAM solutions.

How can customers connect with you before, during and after the show?
