New SolidWorks case study: ElliptiGO elliptical bikes

Elliptigo-2010SM Ironman triathlete Brent Teal recently took a break from training to do a SolidWorks case study on how he developed the ElliptiGO, the world’s first elliptical bike. ElliptiGO Inc. was founded to create a low-impact alternative for distance runners. By combining cycling and elliptical training technology, cofounders Bryan Pate and Brent Teal hoped to create a low-impact, elliptical system that could be ridden outdoors like a bike instead of remaining stationary in a gym.

To refine the concept for this new type of product, the company needed access to advanced 3D design and simulation technology. See how ElliptiGo uses SolidWorks to cut the number of physical prototypes by 1,000 percent%, reduce development costs, and create a revolutionary, first-of-its-kind product.
