SolidWorks World 2011 Partner Spotlight: DriveWorks

One of the things we've heard from SolidWorks World attendees over the past few years is that you'd like to learn more in advance about the SolidWorks partners who set up booths in the Partner Pavilion. So starting this week, we'll be posting a series of blog entries about some of the companies you might think about checking out, and the people who will be representing those companies.

If there are any SolidWorks partners you'd like to hear from, leave a comment and we'll do our best to get them on here. And with that, off we go!

I'm Maria Sarkar, Vice President of DriveWorks Ltd. in Thelwall, Cheshire, United Kingdom.

 

2. Tell us about DriveWorks

DriveWorks Ltd has been developing software products for SolidWorks for the last 10 years. Our products are sold worldwide and we have over a 100 resellers that we work closely with and who sell and support our software.

Our focus is automation, particularly design automation. As DriveWorks products are very scalable, the benefits of automation can be integrated with and extended across the Enterprise to other departments – for example sales & marketing – and also to the web to allow others to configure and specify products too and all based on rules .

DriveWorksXpress has been incorporated into every seat of SolidWorks by DS SolidWorks since 2008. So anyone with SolidWorks already has our technology and we’d obviously like the chance to show them more. DriveWorks Solo was released in September 2009 and became a SolidWorks Certified Gold Partner Product in 2010. DriveWorks Pro – Administrator has been a SolidWorks Certified Gold Partner Product since 2002

 

3. Why should SolidWorks World attendees visit your booth?

We're really friendly people and really enjoy meeting SolidWorks engineers (and SolidWorks Resellers too). The atmosphere at SolidWorks World is always engaging and stimulating. 

We like to listen. We love to find out from the people we meet what they WANT to be able to do and we like to discuss with them how automation can improve their own jobs/company’s competitive position. And we're also very happy to answer questions about our software so that people can decide for themselves if it is something that they would be of benefit to them.

We will be showing the updated version of DriveWorksXpress in SolidWorks 2011 at SolidWorks World. We will also be highlighting some of the differences between DriveWorks Solo and DriveWorks Pro and demonstrating when and how a company can benefit from each.

Oh and of course we will have some nice NEW technology to show too!!!!

4. How can your products or services help make a SolidWorks user’s life easier?

We often ask “Are your products the same but different?” Because if they are, the chances are that DriveWorks technology could help:

  • Reduce the cost of custom designs
  • Make it easier and faster to respond to sales enquiries
  • Enhance product quality
  • Reduce repetitive tasks so engineers can focus on what is important rather than copy-cadding

 

5. How can customers connect with you at the show? How about before and after?

Our booth number is 432, and you will also be able to find us in the bar (of course)!!! And wearing our DriveWorks shirts.

You can download the software here, use it free for 30 days, watch lots of video clips on how to use it, take the training, engage with others on the DriveWorks Solo forum and much much more.
