The 2011 CSWP Texas Shoot-Out & Bar-B-Que

CSWP_Party_2010-JR

Are you getting excited about SolidWorks World 2011 yet?  If you are going, and you are a Certified SolidWorks Professional, or a Certified SolidWorks Expert, you have even more to be excited about!  And if you are not a CSWP or a CSWE, then maybe this will help you decide to get on the ball before SolidWorks World gets here!

Once again we'll be throwing an exclusive party on Monday night at SolidWorks World 2011 in San Antonio Texas.  We'll be heading over to the historic Sunset Station which was originally built in 1902 as a stop on the sunset limited railroad route to California. And what could be more Texas'y then guns and bar-b-que?  Once again we'll be partnering with a cool SolidWorks customer, hauling in a bunch of their products, and of course giving it all away at the end of the night.

How many of you have ever played paintball?  I'm guessing quite a few!  Well as with just about every other industry now a days, all the major manufacturers of paintball guns and equipment use SolidWorks to design their products.  So we thought we would bring in a large cache of paintball guns and let everyone have a chance to shoot them.  What you will be shooting at will be up to CSWP's from around the world when we run our annual CSWP contest around the beginning of December.  We'll be counting on you to design the targets for the event!

But isn't paintball messy? Well don't worry about getting covered in paint.  We'll be using special 're-balls' that don't explode, so you won't have to worry about paint splashing onto your duds that night.  Also, most of the shooting will be at targets and not each other.

We'll also be changing up the format of the event this year as well.  Here is the schedule:

6:30pm-7:15pm- CSWE's Only

7:15pm-9:30pm- CSWE's & CSWP's

At 6:30 we'll be opening a special private indoor venue to just CSWE's.  It will be a small group compared to the CSWP's, but we'll have some additional benefits like exclusive first-time-ever issued CSWE give-a-ways, margarita bar, exclusive food menu, and exclusive prizes.

At 7:15 we'll head outdoors, start up the band, and open the gates for the CSWP's where we'll enjoy plenty of Texas bar-b-que food and fix'ns, along with plenty of moonshine to wash it all down!

At the end of the night we'll raffle off all the loot from the night, so be prepared to possibly go home a winner!

So how do you get into these events?  All you have to do is be a CSWP or a CSWE, or both!  Visit the SolidWorks Certification Homepage for more information on how to become certified.  And for those of you who are going to take the CSWP exam on site at SolidWorks World, if you pass you will of course be added to the list to get into the event on Monday night!

If you are a CSWP, keep an eye out for more information on the CSWP contest coming around the beginning of December to your inbox.

So we hope to see you all in San Antonio, and don't forget that the early bird registration ends this Friday.  By taking advantage of that discount, along with a $100 CSWP discount, you can save $300 off the total price of admission!
