Robbie liotta Name:
Robbie Liotta

Title: Senior Technical Support Manager, DS SolidWorks Corp.

1. Why did you choose to do the work you do?
I really enjoy the mix of challenges that technical support presents. In technical support you have the opportunity to do a lot of problem solving, presenting new and different challenges day to day. It is also quite enjoyable working with and helping people from all over the world and seeing the amazing things our customers do with our software.

2. What is your proudest career moment?
There really is no single event, but I am very proud of the progress we have had at SolidWorks since I started working here in 2000.

3. What goal inspires you most?
I am always motivated by growth and continued progress. The future is exciting.

4. How has SolidWorks made a difference in your life?
SolidWorks has been a tremendous place to work. I really enjoy living in New England. After moving here from Florida, it took a while to get used to the winter climate, but now I really enjoy the change of seasons here. I have been given tremendous opportunities while at SolidWorks. In addition to working with an amazing team and having the opportunity to learn our software products, I have been able to complete my MBA and study several foreign languages.

5. What do you do for fun?
I really enjoy soccer. My playing days are winding down so now I am focusing more on coaching. I enjoy coaching my daughter’s youth team. I follow the US National Soccer team and looking forward to the day when they win the World Cup, which will hopefully happen in my lifetime. I also enjoy photography, playing the violin, travel, and spending time with my family.
